About Birdie English

It's nice to meet you! I am the person behind Birdie English. I am a CELTA certified English teacher with a degree in Asian Studies. Learning a new language is a great way to learn about a new culture. This is why I started Birdie English - to help others learn the American culture and build community.

My Experience

I have been teaching for over three years. My specialty is teaching beginner English to adults who have immigrated to the US. I am qualified to teach speakers of any language, and the students I teach come from all over the world.

To help students make new connections in Maryland, I mainly teacher conversational English. My students often leave class feeling confident in their new skills!

My Lessons

My lessons are interactive and student-centered. In each class I teach one skill and provide a lot of practice. I also embrace students' first language and culture in the learning process. My goal is to help students gain confidence in their English skills. I want my students to feel assured that they can be part of the Maryland community.
